Formalities for 50% Scholarship /50% Loan
1 the Candidate must apply in writing for scholarship/loan with good scan of their results slips and Character Reference
a. The candidate must visit the website of IIUM and see for themselves if the degree they want to study is offered at IIUM
B. The candidate needs to apply directly to the website giving at least 3 choices in priority order. We will give them a letter of support that they need to upload on the website. They will have to pay for the application fees which is not refundable ($100)
c. Once they have been offered a seat, they will be call for an Interview by the local board for selection and further recommendation to the International Board
d. If the candidate is selected by the board, he or she must sign an agreement that they will take the scholarship/ loan after the approval of the International Board. If for any reasons the candidate fails to take the Scholarship/ loan, a sum of RS.50,000 need to be paid immediately by the Candidate or his/her guardian to Human Welfare League
e. Once the scholarship/ loan is given to the candidate, he/she must pay their visa (around $400) and tickets to Malaysia
f. The scholarship/ loan will cover, food, accommodation and stipend.
g. The scholarship/ loan is like Qard Hassana, and a 10% of the loan will be paid back to a scholarship Fund monthly after 2 years of completion of Sturdy
i. Before the allocation of the scholarship / loan, each candidate and guardian will need to sign a contract with HWL Infront of a notary at the expenses of the candidate
